Instructor Training

Approved Driving Instructors require a high standard of driving ability and a sound knowledge of the subjects related to teaching others to drive and must be able to apply these abilities.

Teaching others to drive includes being knowledgeable about:

1. how to teach
2. how people learn
3. how to assess the performance of others
4. communication
5. interpersonal skills

The qualification examination is in three parts:

1. a computer based theory test
2. a practical test of your driving ability
3. a practical test of your ability to instruct

DrivR can help potential instructors achieve their career goals, whether they have already had training elsewhere or are just starting out, we offer training to meet the requirements of all three examinations and the follow up "check tests".

We are not in the business of taking thousands of pounds from you and tying you into a franchise with a promise that you can "be your own boss". We would rather concentrate on helping you become a fully qualified driving instructor by passing the very strict DSA examinations.
